MMoA claims it is not a deliverance ministry. However, if its counseling model is not just based on, but taken directly from that of the RTF deliverance ministry, it follows that when faced with allegations as such, MMoA cannot rightfully claim otherwise. I present that MMoA is aware of the controversial nature of its counseling methods, and thus withholds this information from the public.
Information on the RTF site includes an endorsement from Retired US Supreme Court Justice Ralph Beisner, who had his life-changing deliverance experience in 1995, but did not retire from the Supreme Court until 2002.
Also from their site, materials seeking funds for a new training facility claim that, of those watching a promotional PowerPoint presentation, the first 12 corporate sponsors to contribute a one-time donation of at least $50,000 can "expect a significant increase of [their] growth and cash flow." And they get a free book.
Training to counsel people by the RTF model can be done in as little as 2 weeks and requires no educational prerequisites. According the RTF site, those who complete one or more of the programs refer to themselves as "counselors" without mention of any registration or accreditation.
The components of their counseling program include:
- Sins of the Fathers and Resulting Curses
- Ungodly Beliefs
- Soul/Spirit Hurts
- Demonic Oppression
